School Council

Our school value of generosity can clearly be demonstrated through the work that we do to support others less fortunate than ourselves.

We also have a lot of fun too!

We celebrated World Book Day by organising a "Big Read" and book-swap. It was so lovely to see the whole school sharing stories together, building upon friendships and creating new ones.

One of the first tasks a new School Councillor usually performs is to surprise their friends with Christmas treats...and wearing a curious Christmas hat always brings a smile!

❤️  Thank you so much to those who attended, or supported, our Valentine’s Disco. It was such a busy event!

We were really pleased to welcome back almost all of the 20/21 year six children, who loved seeing old friends - and their old classroom too!

An incredible £320 was raised, which will be spending on, amongst other things, items to help with the improvement of the school library area ❤️

Christmas

Christmas is always a busy, creative and exciting time in school so the School Council decided to challenge their classmates to see just how inventive they could be!

We were thrilled by the diverse and interesting Christmas Crafting competition entries. Many

well- deserved chocolate prizes were awarded to the creations that most caught the judge’s  eye!

School Council 2021/22

After many months of waiting , our school council were so happy to be able to meet together once again.

We welcomed new class representatives and extended the "term of office" for the current council members to ensure that they could carry on doing what they do best - raising awareness of issues that affect our friends, our school and our local community.

Our first task was to support the Royal British Legion and playtimes were given up to sell Poppy Day merchandise to our classmates. We were so proud to be able to send an incredible £253.00 to this very deserving charity.

2019 School Council

The School Council were thrilled to have raised £130 for the Royal British Legion by selling poppy merchandise at break times.

This year we have chosen to support Cancer Research and Dementia UK.

Our Valentine's disco raised £240 which we were absolutely thrilled about! We have donated £80 to each charity and hope to use the remaining  money to buy something for our classmates.
